Field Triage reads your service manuals, bulletins and closed work orders once. Then a technician in the field sends a photo, an alarm code and a few words, and gets back the checks to run in order, each one cited to the manual page, the parts most likely involved, and a work-order summary written for them. Safety procedures are never skipped; anything outside the manual escalates to a person.
Illustrative output. Names and figures are examples.
Service manuals by revision, bulletins mapped to the sections they change, parts catalogues with supersession chains, and ten years of free-text work orders turned into a resolution index — all scoped to the installed base.
A technician sends what they have — a photo, an alarm screenshot or log export, the serial, a line of description. The agent identifies the unit, reads the evidence, and returns the checks to run in order, each cited to the manual or bulletin, with safety steps first and un-collapsible.
No coverage means no checklist. The case goes to the named senior engineer for that product line with the symptom, what was checked, what the documents do and do not say, and the machine history. Recurring escalations become draft bulletins for the expert to approve.
At the end of a session the agent drafts the work-order summary: steps performed with manual references, measurements, parts fitted, photos and alarm logs attached — in the format the OEM's warranty process requires.
Dealers get the OEM's knowledge within their licensed product lines, keep their own notes separate and labelled, and the OEM sees escalation and training needs across the network without reading every work order.
Each case reads manual sections, past work orders and one or more photos — typically 50–200k tokens — and a network of 50 technicians runs hundreds of cases a day. Expect 30–200 million tokens a month at scale. Retrieval is indexed once; the model is spent per case on reading and reasoning.
